Wii Fit... Does it really Work?

All summer I nannied for a family of three girls who were like little divas. They always had cute clothes from Abercrombie and always wanted to workout on Wii fit. I should mention they were 9, 13, and 15 (yes I know insane). I tried the fitness game and found myself looking and feeling like an idiot. The kids I watched always broke a sweat, but I couldn't. I don't know if I didn't try hard enough or what but I never believed it worked. The other day I was watching the new kids I nanny and the eight year old insisted she need to do yoga. I burst out laughing and she was taken aback by my laughter, because she was completely serious. An article by Forbes said that people who own Wii fit don't lose weight because they don't routinely do it for a month. I wonder if someone for a month did the game would actually lose weight?

Here is the article:

  1. finny you say this, because my finace's little sister is the exact same way! She LIVES for Wiifit and gets angry when people dont do her 'routine' with her! I'm sorry, but WHY does an 8 yr old have a qorkout routine! And don't think it's the families fault, becuase they encourage her to stay active but they tell her its insane that she is so adicted to it. This past summer, she joined soccer, and now cheerleading; now she's past the wiifit, and is obsessed with these outdoor activites; which is much more reasonable for an 8 yr old!

Oh.. and don't feel bad about not breaking a sweat, I didnt either; I felt weird too.
