Texting and driving... A horrible habit.
Everyone has done it at one point, but now it is illegal. Texting and driving has been illegal for three weeks now and I still find myself doing it. It's a horrible habit and very dangerous, but when you get a text you can't just not text back. Pulling over is now the thing to do if you need to just get a text out, but what if your on the highway? Just kidding... I know I am not the only one breaking this new law, because I am always seeing people looking down at their phones on the way to work, school, and so on every morning. Does anyone else have this problem? Also don't you think this should have been illegal way before now when everyone is so used to it???

Honestly, I put my phone on silent and leave it in my purse when I am driving. It is the only way I could stop picking it up when someone sent me a text. I started doing it last spring, and it took a while to get used to, but now it is just what I do. They say it takes 28 days to start a new habit. See if you can do it for that long, maybe it will stick.
ReplyDeleteI have this problem. I started putting my phone in the glovebox so I wouldn't look at it. It's starting to work but I feel like I'm trying to quit a drug habit! My sister joke all the time that I might have to go cold turkey without my "Crackberry."
ReplyDeleteI have this problem too, but I find myself reading the texts now, and calling the person rather than texting back. I think this should have been illegal before all the hype of texting happened! I just hope everone (myself included) can see the danger in texting while driving.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! I am having some serious with drawls from doing it. I feel like when I am driving and texting people around me are staring and secretly backing off so I won't hit them. I am a great driver, but texting lowers my driving capability.
